Genie GS-2632, Skyjack SJIII 3226 or similar. Still 32 in wide, so it goes through the same doors as the 19, but it puts you 7 ft higher. The step up most crews take when a ceiling turns out taller than they measured.

Why the 26

7 more feet through the same doorway

At 32 in wide the 26 matches the Skyjack 19 and is only 2 in wider than the Genie GS-1930, so any door or hallway wide enough for the smaller machine is wide enough for this one too. It is longer and taller folded, so check freight lifts and low doorways. The platform rating does drop slightly, to 500 lb.

That combination makes it the safe default for low bay warehouse, big box retail and anywhere the ceiling sits between 25 and 32 ft. You are not guessing at reach and you are not giving up access.

It is longer and heavier than the 19 at 91.5 in and 4,135 lb, so check the floor rating and the turning room before you commit.

Which term to book

The day rate is $170 and the week is $350, so the week costs about what 2 days and a bit would. Past 2 days on site, the week is the cheaper booking every time.

The 4-week rate of $692 is just under 2 weeks, which is why longer fit out jobs almost always take the month.

What you get

Included with every rental

  • A current annual inspection, with the operator manual riding in the machine
  • A full function check before it leaves the yard, so nothing surprises you on site
  • A phone number that reaches the yard directly rather than a call center

Will it fit? 4 things decide it

Measure before you book
01

Doorway width

32 in wide, no wider than the widest 19, so it clears a 36 in commercial door. Measure the tightest point on the route rather than the entry door alone.

02

Door and ceiling height

It stands 84.7 in folded, which is about 7 ft 1 in. That is taller than the 19 and will not clear a 7 ft door, so check every threshold on the way in.

03

Floor load and surface

At 4,135 lb it is over half a ton heavier than the 19. Confirm the floor rating before you elevate on a mezzanine, a second story or over a vault.

04

Turning and length

91.5 in long, so it needs more aisle to turn than the 19 does. Racking aisles and tight corridors are worth measuring twice.

Capacity drops a step from the 19. The 26 carries 500 lb on the platform against the 19 at 550 lb, so a 2 person crew with material can hit the limit sooner. Weigh what is going on the deck.

Send us a photo of the access route and the ceiling and we will tell you whether the 19 would have done the job for less.

Battery and charging

Same electric drivetrain as the rest of the range, so there is no fuel charge and nothing to refill. It arrives charged with the charger on board.

A full charge covers a normal indoor shift. Heavy driving between bays runs the pack down faster than lifting does, so plug it in every night.

Operator rules

OSHA treats a scissor lift as a mobile scaffold under 29 CFR 1926.451, with operator training under 29 CFR 1926.454 and ANSI A92.22 and A92.24.

  • Your employer trains and authorizes the operator and keeps a written safe use program on site.
  • Inspect the machine and run a function test at the start of every shift.
  • Rails up and gate closed is the fall protection. Never climb the rails or stand on the toe board.
  • Do not exceed 500 lb on the platform, and remember the extension deck is rated lower.
  • This machine is not insulated, so keep clear of energized lines.

FAQ

Common questions

What size scissor lift do I need for a 30 ft ceiling?

The 26 ft machine reaches about 32 ft of working height, which covers a 30 ft ceiling with a margin. Working height is platform height plus roughly 6 ft of operator reach, so do not size off platform height alone.

Is the 26 any wider than the 19?

Barely. The 26 is 32 in across, the same as the Skyjack SJIII 3219 and 2 in wider than the Genie GS-1930, so measure for 32 in and either size will fit. The difference is length, height folded and weight.

How much weight can the platform hold?

500 lb, which is 2 people with hand tools and light material. The rollout extension deck carries less, so ask when you book if you plan to load it.

Can I use it on a mezzanine?

Often, but the machine weighs 4,135 lb and the load under each wheel is much higher than that spread evenly. Get the floor rating from the building owner first.
