What it is for

Forklifts in one paragraph

A warehouse forklift moves pallets on flat concrete. It is the lowest priced machine we rent that lifts several thousand pounds, and propane means it runs indoors without filling the building with exhaust.

It stops being useful the moment the ground is not flat and hard. A gravel yard, a graded lot or anything rough will stop it, and no amount of care changes that.

If that describes your site, or you need to reach forward to place a load rather than drive to it, you want a telehandler instead.

Before you book

3 things we will ask you for

  • How high the load needs to go, measured rather than estimated
  • The narrowest opening anywhere on the route in, not just the entry gate
  • What the ground is, whether that is finished slab, graded dirt or a slope

Send us a photo of the access route and the work area, and we will tell you straight which machine to take.

FAQ

Common questions

What size forklift do I need?

For pallets on flat concrete, the 5,000 lb class warehouse machine covers almost everything, and it plates at 4,600 to 4,750 lb. The moment the ground is rough or you need to reach forward, you want a telehandler instead.

Do I need certification to operate a forklift in Arizona?

Your employer must train, evaluate and certify each operator under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178, for the type of truck and the conditions at your site. Renting does not certify anyone.

Can I transport a rental forklift myself?

No. Delivery is required on the forklift, and we handle transport both ways at the mid size tier.

How much does it cost to rent a forklift in Phoenix?

$197/day, $530 for the week and $1,430 for 4 weeks. A single day delivered inside 20 mi comes to $387 before fuel, tax and the damage waiver.

Do you rent rough terrain forklifts?

Not under this heading. A rough terrain machine with a telescoping boom is a telehandler, and we rent 3 sizes, reaching 19, 34 and 42 ft.

How long can I rent a forklift for?

A day, 2 days, a week, 2 weeks or 4 weeks. The week pays for itself just past the second day, so most bookings that run into a third day take the week.
