Our mission
Renting should be the easy part
Renting equipment should be the easy part of your job, and we built Summit Rentals to make it that way.
Why we started
Built for crews who can’t wait on a callback
We spent 15 years doing marketing for construction companies, and every trade told us the same thing. The machines were fine, but renting them was the hard part.
We saw it firsthand. You call the rental yard and wait for a rep to be assigned. Then you wait for a callback just to get a quote or find out if the machine is in stock. Meanwhile, your crew is standing around on site.
Nobody was fixing it, so in 2020 we started Summit Rentals with a handful of machines and a better way to rent them.
We use technology to speed up the slow parts, and we back it with great service from real people. Our pricing is clear from the start, and we stay with you from the first call until the equipment comes back. That way you know you picked the right machine for the job.
How we work
Equipment, technology and transparency
Equipment
We run the same brands the big yards do, including Genie, JLG, Bobcat, Skyjack and John Deere, and we care for every machine in our own yard. So when you call about a fault code, or ask if an S70 will fit through your gate, your answer comes from the people who work on that machine. If the person who picks up doesn’t know, they will ask the shop and get back to you with a real answer.
You can book online any time, day or night, and there is no waiting in line. We send a confirmation and then we deliver, and we track every machine in our rental system. If it says a machine is available, it is.
We wrote ads for a long time, so we know an empty promise when we see one, and ours are easy to check. Our delivery rates are posted, fuel prices are stated up front and return times are in your agreement. Every machine we sell comes with its full service history, because we did the work.
Some yards make weekend renters feel like a bother, but that is not how we work. Maybe you run 3 crews, or maybe you are tearing out your own patio. Either way, you get a fair rate, the right size machine and a straight answer about what it can and can’t do.
Sometimes a 19 ft scissor lift won’t work on your floor or fit through your door, and we would rather tell you before the truck leaves than charge you for a wasted trip. We may lose a rental that day, but we hope to earn your next 4.
Our commitment

FAQ
Common questions
Is Summit Rentals a national chain?
No. We are locally owned and run out of our yard in Phoenix, and the fleet is ours rather than sourced from partner yards.
What area does Summit Rentals cover?
Metro Phoenix out to 50 mi from the yard, which takes in Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Tempe and the outer valley.
Do you sell equipment as well as rent it?
Occasionally, when a machine comes out of the rental fleet. Call the yard and ask what is available rather than watching the site for it.
Why should I rent from an independent yard?
Because you get someone who knows what is on the lot today. That matters most when a machine has to fit through a specific gate or work on a specific floor.
How quickly can you get a machine to me?
Same day is often possible when it is on the yard and you are inside our normal run. Otherwise the next weekday morning between 3 and 11 a.m.
