lift rental

The longest reach we own
36 ft 6 in of horizontal reach is what separates this machine from everything else in the fleet. Nothing else gets that far out from where it parks.
That is the number to look at when you cannot get close to the work. A drainage swale, a planted median, a row of parked trailers, all of it stops mattering if you can reach over it.
It is the heaviest boom we own at 15,230 lb and the longest stowed at 27 ft 9 in, so the route in needs checking properly.

- Tall exterior wall and glazing work

Which term to book
At $377/day and $980/week, the week is worth it from about the third day. The 4-week rate of $2,240 comes out near 2⅓ weeks.
Round trip delivery inside 20 mi is $250 at the large tier, so a single day booking carries a lot of freight relative to the rental.
Included with every rental
- A current annual inspection, with the operator manual riding in the machine
- A full function check before it leaves the yard, so nothing surprises you on site
- A phone number that reaches the yard directly rather than a call center
Will it fit? 4 things decide it
Measure before you bookGate and access width
7 ft 6 in wide, the same as the 40. Measure the tightest point of the route, including any gate posts and bollards.
Overhead clearance
8 ft 2 in stowed. Power lines and canopies on the approach are the usual problem, not the work area itself.
Ground conditions
4WD on rough terrain tires. It handles graded dirt and slopes, but 15,230 lb will sink into soft fill.
Setup and swing room
27 ft 9 in long stowed, the longest machine on the yard. It needs somewhere to sit that allows a full 360 degree swing.
Reach and capacity trade against each other. The 36 ft 6 in figure is the maximum at rated capacity. Loading the platform heavier pulls the usable envelope in, so plan the setup around the load you are actually carrying.
A harness is mandatory in any boom lift, every time, with the lanyard clipped to the anchor point in the platform.
Fuel and running costs
Diesel with a 15 gal tank, prepaid at booking, which works out to $90 for a full tank.
The machine arrives fueled. Nothing to reconcile at the end and nobody chasing a fuel can mid shift.
Operator rules
Boom lifts fall under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453 and ANSI A92.22 and A92.24. A full body harness with a lanyard clipped to the platform anchor is required every time the platform is occupied.
- Your employer trains and authorizes the operator and keeps a written safe use program on site.
- Harness on and lanyard clipped before the platform leaves the ground.
- Inspect and function test at the start of every shift.
- 500 lb on the platform, including people, tools and material.
- Not an insulated machine. Keep the minimum approach distance from energized lines.

Common questions
How high does a 45 ft boom lift actually reach?
The platform goes to 45 ft and working height is about 51 ft once you add average operator reach. Size the machine off the working number, not the platform number.
Which do I need, the 40 or the 45?
If the work is under 46 ft of working height and the approach is tight, the 40 is shorter stowed and easier to place. If you need reach out from the machine, the 45 gets nearly 5 ft further.
Can I use a boom lift to trim trees or palms?
Yes, and it is one of the commonest reasons these go out. Plan the drop zone, and remember the platform is not a work rest for a running saw.
Is fuel included with a boom lift rental?
Fuel is prepaid at booking rather than included. A full 15 gal tank is $90 and the machine goes out fueled.
